Scrap Metal Recycling Drive to Support LPS
From Lincoln Recycles Day (Nov. 15, 2015) to Earth Day (April 22, 2016), bring scrap metal to Sadoff Iron and Metal Company or Alter Metal Recycling to have it recycled. All types of scrap metal including aluminum and tin cans, appliances, pots and pans, wiring, sinks, bathtubs, electric motors, plumbing materials, and many other items may be accepted. When you arrive, tell them that you would like to donate all or part of the revenue from your metal to LPS Recycling Program. At the end of the drive, the firms will match the amount that the public donates up to a specific dollar amount.
This is a great way to help Lincoln Public Schools expand their recycling operations and outreach for students, faculty, and staff. Funds raised for the LPS Recycling Program will be used toward replacing old, steel containers that have experienced over 15 years of recycling use. The old containers will be recycled as scrap metal and be replaced with new dumpsters manufactured from recycled steel - closing the recycling loop!
