Jalyn, Cole, and McKenzie will have their artwork displayed at Lincoln Water System for the duration of one year. A poster board is given to each of the top three children to bring to their school to be displayed. All participants receive a Certificate of Appreciation from Mayor Chris Beutler.
This annual contest is sponsored by the Mayor's Water Conservation Task Force. Work on this project begins in October and continues through May. A Lincoln Public Schools volunteer leads the poster contest. Letters go to all fifth-grade students in Lincoln, including LPS, parochial and home schools. The teachers have many different projects to choose from. The Mayor's Water Conservation Task Force appreciates the participation each year!
Bookmarks of the top ten contest winners are located at the public libraries, LPS elementary libraries and the Catholic elementary schools.
