About the Artist
Katelyn Voigt

Katelyn Voigt is a local Lincoln artist originally from Kearney, NE. She is currently studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and plans to pursue a career in Art Therapy. Her portfolio encompasses a plethora of styles and media, including printmaking, sculpture, painting, drawing, and collage. Her art can be seen at various times throughout the year at businesses participating in First Friday Art Walks.

"Conserve"


Location: The Mill (South), 4736 Prescott Ave.

This piece focuses on the importance of conserving our water and energy resources. Set against the backdrop of a Nebraska sunset, a series of waterfalls expresses the importance of the connectivity of our water resources. In the distance, the silhouettes of windmills rise above the horizon of the landscape as we are ascending on the horizon of renewable energy.
