Waterfest 2008
On June 14, 2008, approximately 3,000 people made history at the City of Lincoln's 2nd Biennial Waterfest. For three hours, guests learned about our most valuable resource -- water. Exhibitors and volunteers helped guests to learn about what they can do to conserve water and reduce pollutants in local streams and lakes.

Persons attending Waterfest 2008 received a water passport, which was marked as they stopped by each booth. For attending at least 10 stations, each family received a reusable shopping bag with earth friendly gifts. Free hot dogs and sodas were available. Several of the exhibitor booths had fun, hands-on activities. Persons could also take a canoe ride, attend a fishing clinic, observe a raptor release, listen to the String Beans, or visit the 106.3 KFRX live remote.
