On October 14, the Planning Department and Building and Safety will merge to form the new Planning and Development Services Department.
Welcome to the City of Lincoln's Building and Safety Department. Our mission is to promote the quality of life for Lincoln’s residents by working together to ensure that fire, housing, and building codes are met.
As part of the Development Services Team, we work with other city and county agencies –Health, Planning, Transportation and Utilities, and Urban Development – to streamline the construction process as well as to promote a safe community for the residents of Lincoln and of Lancaster County.
