Lincoln on the Move is investing in improvements to approximately 1.2 miles of West Highland Boulevard and West Fletcher Avenue. These improvements include a mill and overlay of the existing surface and base repairs where required, public utility adjustments, and inlet top and curb repairs or replacement. The project will also include reconstruction of West Fletcher Avenue at the curve between NW 7th and NW 4th streets. Additional work with other funding sources includes upgrades to the existing curb ramps to meet federal and local standards.
Construction is taking place in 2024.
Construction along West Highland Boulevard and West Fletcher Avenue will be completed in phased segments. Each segment will require a full closure to traffic and then open back up once complete to minimize traffic inconveniences. The traveling public is encouraged to find alternative routes and to use the WAZE app for assistance.
A public open house was held regarding planned improvements on West Highland Boulevard and West Fletcher Avenue.
