This project paved South 40th Street from Rokeby Road to Tiger Lily Road to help serve growth in the community by improving safety and capacity of the transportation system. The project included new pavement with one lane in each direction and a raised center median. A new roundabout was constructed at Tiger Lily Road. Work also included new sidewalk with curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and utility work.
Lincoln on the Move funding was utilized in accordance with ballot language and supported by the Advisory Committee on Transportation (ACT).
Construction began in the summer of 2022 and was completed in fall of 2023.
