Movies in the Park 2024

Grab your blanket or a few chairs and come out for a free family friendly movie in the park. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket. No RSVP. No Tickets. In the case of inclement weather the movies will be moved inside the Recreation Center.

Movies will begin around 8:45-9:00 p.m. depending on sunset.

Friday, June 7: Wonka

This fantasy musical film follows the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. In particular, it emphasizes his rise to the top. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he became driven to enter the chocolate industry eventually. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel.

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.

The animated film tells the story of a family of ducks dreaming of the perfect getaway vacation. Mack, the overprotective father, cannot take the risk of traveling from New England all the way to Jamaica. When his two kids, Dax and Gwen, try to convince him to take the leap, Mack must navigate the tricky route through New York City while keeping his family safe.

A young woman named Asha possesses wild wishes for happiness. After making a wish on a starry night, Asha is surprised when Star, a ball of cosmic energy, comes down to accompany her. Asha and Star must work together to defeat the ruthless ruler, King Magnifico, who threatens the safety of her local community. With Asha's unstoppable courage and Star's magical powers, nothing is impossible.

Friday, July 26:   The Little Mermaid  

The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

Monday, August 5:   Kung Fu Panda 4  

After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior, is called upon by destiny to...give it a rest already. More specifically, he's tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position.

Friday, August 16:  Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken  

The animated film tells the story of teenage sea kraken Ruby Gillman. Struggling to fit in at her high school Oceanside High, Ruby discovers her ancestral destiny to reign as Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas, following in the footsteps of her grandmother. Overwhelmed by the throne and its heavy responsibilities, Ruby seeks help from Chelsea, a former mermaid who joins Ruby's high school.
