Adaptive Recreation Camps

Summer Camp Registration begins in January of each year. Campers new to Lincoln Parks and Recreation's Adaptive programming will be invited for a personal meeting with camp staff prior to the first day of camp at Easterday Recreation Center, 6130 Adams St.

SumFun Camp

SumFun campers in their rainbow tie-dye camp shirts, raise their pointer fingers for #1 in Memorial Stadium. Reconnect with old friends and make new ones in a fun classic camp environment. Campers will engage in a variety of daily physical activities like baseball, frisbee golf, and swimming. Explore Lincoln with trips to museums, the zoo and parks! Get creative and use your imagination with crafts and music. Most importantly, at SumFun we have FUN!

Days: Monday - Friday 

Site 1

Ages: 5*-13
*Camper must have completed Kindergarten previous to camp.
Location: Antelope Park Enclosed Shelter, 1650 Memorial Dr.

Site 2

Ages: 14 -21
Location: Auld Pavilion, 1650 Memorial Dr. 


Drama Camp 

A group of 6 campers are in costume, delivering their lines on stage. Calling all drama kings and queens! Campers will prepare a play and work on sets, props, and costumes during this week-long camp. Camp ends with a final performance for families and friends!

Ages: 13+

Art Extravaganza Camp 

Camper shows of their Art Camp projects. A variety of paintings, prints, and sculptural projects are artistically laid out on a table in front of the camper. Get ready to get creative! This week long camp includes projects in a variety of mediums, such as painting, drawing, ceramics, and pottery. Camp ends with an Art Show!

Days: Monday - Friday 
Ages: 13+

Need Based Scholarships

Scholarship applications are available at all recreation centers, the Parks and Recreation Administration Office, the Playground Office.

Applicants must provide proof of income (copy of tax return or most recent paycheck stub), size of household and statement of need. Once your application has been received, your location will make contact to discuss your request.

Title XX

All programs, except Irving, are approved to accept Title XX, the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Care Subsidy Program.
