LPD Releases “O” Street Traffic Safety Project Results

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) today released the results of a traffic safety project that focused on “O” Street conducted Friday, May 24 through August 31. The annual traffic enforcement effort occurred on nights and weekends between 17th and 98th streets.

Funded by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office, the project allowed more officers to patrol “O” Street. The project was in response to numerous reports and complaints of reckless driving, loud vehicles and deadly crashes on “O” Street.
