LPD Releases Game Day Enforcement Project Results

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) today released the results of an enforcement project that began in October which focused on traffic safety and alcohol compliance on Nebraska football home games. The project assigned officers to work outside of their normal hours to respond to disturbances and other crimes that increase with gameday crowds downtown and be on patrol to enforce traffic laws with a focus on enforcement of driving under the influence of alcohol.

A grant awarded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office funded the enforcement project.
