The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) today released results of its March 17 traffic enforcement project that focused on impaired drivers and alcohol sales. On St. Patrick’s Day, additional officers conducted alcohol compliance checks at numerous licensed liquor establishments and performed high visibility traffic enforcement with emphasis placed on traffic and DWI violations. The Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office provided funding for this enforcement project. The project results are as follows:
Total traffic stops – 50 Total DUIs – 1 Total citations – 25 Total warnings – 33 Total tavern selectives – 23
