LPD Releases Traffic Safety Enforcement Project Results

The Lincoln Police Department today released the results of a traffic safety enforcement project conducted October 10 through 23. Officers with advanced training in traffic enforcement worked throughout Lincoln to monitor areas with high instances of reported and observed traffic offenses.

Funded by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office, this project allowed officers to work overtime to focus solely on stopping traffic offenders.

Total results are as follows:

Traffic stops conducted      35
Official citations issued 46
Warnings issued 4

No Registration Warnings 1
