UPDATE (11:20 p.m.) | Nebraska State Patrol and Omaha Police Department officers report all three fugitives have been taken into custody in Omaha. The Lincoln Police Department is grateful for their work and all of the tips and information provided by the public.

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is alerting the public about the search for three escapees. On Friday, June 14, at approximately 7 p.m., LPD officers and other agencies were dispatched to the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center - Lincoln, 1200 Radcliff Street, on a report of three escapees. Staff at the center reported three detainees had forced their way out of the facility and fled eastbound from the area. The Nebraska State Patrol AirWing is helping search for the escapees at this time.

The inmates are described as follows:

Norman Bennett, a 16-year-old black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds, hair in dreadlocks, last seen wearing a green sweater and blue scrub type pants, with black shoes with clear soles

Tayvon Erwin-Morrison, a 15-year-old black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds, hair in dreadlocks, wearing a green sweater and blue scrub type shorts, with black shoes with clear soles

Jayden M. Little, a 17-year-old black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds, short hair and freckles, last seen wearing a green sweater and blue scrub type pants, black shoes with clear soles

LPD asks anyone who sees any of these parties to not approach them but immediately contact law enforcement and consider them dangerous at this time.

Correction: A previous version of this news release identified the facility as the "Lancaster County Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center." It has been updated to reflect the facility's correct title of "Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center - Lincoln."
