The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Monday, September 9, 2024.
At 10:20 p.m., the Lincoln Police Department and Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to the intersection of S. Folsom Street and W. Prospector Place for a black 2009 Chevy Silverado pickup truck that had left the road, rolled into a ditch and into a nearby creek. The sole occupant of the truck, a 31-year-old man from Lincoln, died on the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification. Traffic on Folsom between High Street and Van Dorn is closed in both directions while LPD crash investigators work. The investigation is ongoing.
