Lincoln Police Investigate Fatal Hit & Run | N. 37th & Cornhusker

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is investigating a fatality crash that happened in the 3700 block of Cornhusker Highway.

On May 14, 2024, at approximately 8:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of N. 37th Street and Cornhusker Highway in reference to a person lying unconscious in the street. A passerby located the person, a male, and called dispatch. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and performed life-saving measures. The person was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased a short time later. 

The suspect fled the scene prior to the officers arriving. The Lincoln Police Department is asking any potential witnesses in the area to help provide a vehicle description.

UPDATE: The man killed has been identified as 22-year-old Alejandro Murillo of Lincoln.
