Lincoln Transportation and Utilities today announced it will provide free bicycle and bus transportation on general election day, Tuesday, November 5. Voters can find their polling place at votercheck.necvr.ne.gov.

The election day offers include:

  • StarTran will waive fares for bus and paratransit services, allowing riders to board at no cost. For trip planning and live bus tracking, use the RideLNK app. StarTran, Lincoln’s public transportation provider, operates under Lincoln Transportation and Utilities. Information on riding StarTran is available at lincoln.ne.gov/transit.
  • To enjoy free rides through BikeLNK, riders must download the BCycle App and use promo code VOTE24 when purchasing a Capital Cruiser pass. This pass offers unlimited one-hour trips within 24 hours of signing up. A map of all BikeLNK stations is accessible at BikeLNK.com or through the BCycle App.

“BikeLNK's Roll to the Polls initiative removes transportation barriers, helping Lincoln residents exercise their right to vote,” said Hunter Arias, BikeLNK City Manager. “StarTran and BikeLNK are committed to providing reliable, safe public and active transportation, along with healthy recreational services.”

BikeLNK, owned by the City of Lincoln and operated by ROAM Share, is the city’s public bike share system. For more information on BikeLNK, visit BikeLNK.com.
