Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) invites residents to attend a free waterwise workshop Wednesday, June 5. The event will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior St. The registration deadline is Monday, June 3 or until the workshop is full. Register online at lincoln.ne.gov/watershed.

“Our Watershed Management Division is thrilled to offer this workshop to our community,” said Erin Kubicek, LTU Environmental Health Educator. “By adopting waterwise practices, residents can make a significant impact on conserving water and protecting our natural water bodies.”

The waterwise workshop will teach participants how to conserve outdoor water use and protect our streams and lakes through waterwise practices. Each participant will receive a free mini garden kit consisting of 12 waterwise plants. Kits are limited to one per household.
