Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) invites residents to a program Monday, October 14, featuring Amanda Peters, the author of “The Berry Pickers,” the 2024 One Book One Lincoln winning selection. The free event will be at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln High School Auditorium, 2229 “J” St. Registration for the event is encouraged. To sign up, visit the events calendar at lincolnlibraries.org or contact your local library at 402-441-8500 for assistance.

“We are thrilled to welcome Amanda Peters to Lincoln and offer our community the chance to engage with this extraordinary novel and its author,” said Ryan Wieber, LCL Director. “Events like these bring readers together and celebrate the power of literature to connect us all.”

Peters will discuss her debut novel during an in-person interview, followed by a question and answer session. A book signing will take place afterward, with copies of “The Berry Pickers” available for purchase courtesy of Francie & Finch Bookshop. Guests may bring their personal copies for signing.

“The Berry Pickers” tells the story of a four-year-old Mi’kmaq girl who vanishes from a blueberry field in Maine, sparking a decades-long mystery that deeply impacts her family. The novel has earned awards including the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction and the Barnes & Noble Discover Prize.
