Portions of Three Streets to Temporarily Close September 27

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of three streets will temporarily close beginning September 27. The closures are as follows:

• 56th Street between Colby Street and Leighton Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, September 27, for crane work. The recommended detour is Holdrege Street to 48th Street to Adams Street.

• “P” Street between Seventh and Ninth streets and Eighth Street between “Q” and “O” streets will be closed from 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, to 11 p.m. Saturday, September 28, for an Oktoberfest event.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
