Safety Improvement Project

This project will evaluate and provide safety improvements for the on-ramp to eastbound U.S. 6 (Cornhusker Highway) from N. 14th Street in the City of Lincoln. This may include reconstruction of the intersection at N. 14th Street with the eastbound U.S. Highway 6 off-ramp and portions of U.S. Highway 6.

The purpose of the project is to identify and evaluate potential transportation improvements in the north portion of Lincoln, with specific attention along the rail corridor between N. 27th and N. 48th streets. The project is currently in the Planning phase.

Paving Project

This project will pave South 40th Street from Yankee Hill Road to Rokeby Road. There are three roundabout intersections planned at Hohensee Drive, Wilderness Hills Boulevard, Prairie Wind Road and Rokeby Road.

Street Rehabilitation Project

This proposed project would rehabilitate the pavement along 56th Street from Spruce Street to Van Dorn Street to improve roadway conditions as necessitated by the current pavement age and condition.

This project would replace traffic signal poles and related infrastructure at the intersection of 84th Street and College Park Drive.

This project would rehabilitate approximately one mile of “A” Street between 40th and 56th streets.

West City Limits to Folsom

The purpose of this project is to improve the West “A” Street corridor beginning at the West City Limits Line, and extending east to the intersection of Folsom Street.

Street Rehabilitation Project

This project would rehabilitate approximately one mile of Adams Street between 36th and 500’ east of 48th.

The East Beltway will constitute the east leg of a circumferential freeway system around Lincoln that will be made up of Interstate 80 to the north, the Homestead Expressway (Hwy 77) to the west, and the South Beltway to the south.

This project would rehabilitate approximately 1.25 miles of Randolph Street between Capitol Parkway and 40th Street.

2020 Residential Rehabilitation - Salt Creek Neighborhood

Street Rehabilitation Project

This project will mill and overlay the streets with new asphalt. Pedestrian curb ramps that do not meet current Federal and local standards will be reconstructed to meet those standards.

The goal of this project is to reduce adverse impacts from flooding to life and property from existing and future flood events.

The project involves upgrading existing US-77 to freeway standards from Saltillo Road to south of Van Dorn Street.

US Hwy 6: West O to Cornhusker (NDOT)

This project is studying how to provide an efficient roadway, improve traffic operations, resolve existing roadway deficiencies, and accommodate locally adopted plans for US 6 between West 'O' Street and Cornhusker Highway.
