The City is divided into ten bi-monthly billing cycles and one small monthly cycle for the city's largest water customers. Prior to each billing, the section must obtain water meter readings, verify the reads and investigate abnormal readings.
Customers have the option of receiving their bill via a paper mailing or e-Bill service. E-bill subscribers receive their water/wastewater bill via email (no paper statement is sent) and can pay their balance online using Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa or American Express. Customers not enrolled in e-Bill can also pay their bill online, but a pin number for each account is required.
You may want to consider designating someone to be notified if the water service at your address becomes subject to termination due to unpaid water bills. This may be helpful in situations involving age, health or other factors.
To use this free service, just complete the third-party notice form (70 K) and return it to the Lincoln Water System, 555 S. 10th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508. If termination of your water service at this address becomes necessary, you and the person you designated on this form will be notified 15 days prior to termination. We suggest you notify the person that you have designated to receive this third-party notice.
