Albert Maxey was a major in art in high school in Indianapolis, IN and came to Lincoln, NE on a basketball scholarship in 1957. He received a Bachelor in Art Education at UNL Teachers College. Graduate of FBI Academy Composite Drawings. Criminal Justice Graduate at UNL-Omaha. He has had a hobby in art for over 50 years.
The gift of drawing was passed to him from his mother at an early age. He shares this gift with family and friends. Albert started as a composite artist for the Lincoln Police Department, retiring after 35 years with the Lincoln Police Department.
Albert is a visiting artist in Lincoln Public Schools. He has taught students to be aware of facial features for identification purposes. He does portraits, scenery and modern abstract.
He opened Maxey's Studio B, Burkholder Project, 719 P Street, in 2003.
