Lincoln Company to Add 200 Jobs
Receives grant of $163,000 for job training

Mayor Don Wesely today congratulated Transaction Applications Group (TAG) of Lincoln for adding nearly 200 employees this year. TAG, a subsidiary of Technical Management, Inc., is a provider of technical and business solutions to the insurance industry and has been in business about 10 years. TAG CEO Ron Lockard said the grant from the Customized Job Training Program will be used to train 163 new employees, and he expects to add nearly 200 new employees over the next 12 months, including managers and supervisors.

"This new investment in our City is great news for our whole community," said Mayor Wesely. "This assistance was the result of a partnership among the City, Lancaster County, the State of Nebraska, the Lincoln Electric System and the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. Once again, we have proven that by working together we can keep our economy growing."

The Customized Job Training Program in the Nebraska Department of Economic Development provides training assistance on projects that offer an opportunity for economic growth in the state. The grant requires that all jobs must be created within a year and must be retained for at least two years after completion of the training project. The average wage level of all jobs created or retained must equal or exceed the average wage for job openings in the area as reported by the Nebraska Department of Labor. The addition of 200 jobs would bring TAG's total employment to about 500.

TAG provides services to more than 750,000 insurance policy holders. TAG's clients range from small active insurance marketing organizations to the nation's largest insurance companies.
