Help StarTran "Stuff the Bus" for Friendship Home

The public is invited to help StarTran "Stuff the Bus" by donating new items needed by women and children at the Friendship Home, a 24-hour emergency shelter for women and their children experiencing domestic violence.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, StarTran buses will be parked at these locations:

Items needed include diapers, toilet paper, towels, sheets, pillows, kitchenware, pots and pans, toiletries, laundry and cleaning supplies, batteries, hair care products, laundry baskets, lamps, vacuum cleaners and other small appliances. Cash donations also are accepted, and raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 for a chance to win prizes.

Friendship Home provides safe, confidential shelter, support and services that help equip women and children to start new lives free from violence. "Stuff the Bus" is cosponsored by Three Eagles Communications and Wal-Mart/Sam's Club.
