Beginning Monday, August 29, 66th Street from Holdrege to Fairfax streets as well as the intersection of 66th and Holdrege streets will close for urgent storm sewer improvements. The project includes replacing and enlarging the storm sewer and coincides with paving work in the area. The closure is expected to last three weeks.
During this time, access to parking on the west side of 66th Street between Holdrege and Fairfax will be unavailable. During construction, 66th Street from Cotner Blvd. to "X" Street will also be closed to through traffic, but local access will be maintained where possible. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Construction for the entire project is expected to be completed by November.
The project team appreciates the patience of the public while the needed repairs are under way.
