The Mopac Trail at N. 56th Street is closed today and Friday for work on the east access ramp. The trail is expected to be open Saturday, July 28. Cyclists are encouraged to seek alternate routes, including taking 56th Street south to Wilshire Boulevard, traveling east on Wilshire Blvd., south on N. 59th Street and east on Vine Street to reconnect with the trail at North Cotner Boulevard.
The ramp is being replaced to meet ADA accessibility guidelines in coordination with a larger resurfacing project on North 56th Street from Vine to Adams streets. The project is scheduled to be completed in August.
