Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) continues its father-focused "Dad Up and Read" campaign with two free "Blizzards, Building and Books!" events in December. Dads and kids may choose to build either bookends or a pencil holder using kits donated by Home Depot. No pre-registration is required for the following programs:
Each child who participates will receive a coupon for a free small Blizzard from Dairy Queen and a free book. The events also encourage young builders and the important men in their lives to browse the library to find books about winter, snow, building, or fun DIY projects to keep them busy over the holidays.
The "Dad Up and Read Campaign" encourages fathers to read to their children for 15 minutes a day. For more information about "Dad Up and Read" events and LCL in general, visit lincolnlibraries.org.
