Aging Partners to Offer Roundtrip Transportation to Hickman Senior Center

Beginning March 6, Aging Partners will offer Hickman seniors roundtrip shuttle transportation from their residences to the Hickman Senior Center. The fee is $2 one way or $4 roundtrip. Rides must be reserved two days in advance by calling 402-441-6102. Seniors will arrive at the senior center between 9:30 and 10 a.m. and return home after 1 p.m.

"The new Hickman Senior Center has been very well received, and we're excited to be able to offer this new transportation option to our patrons," said Sandy Lutz, Aging Partners program supervisor. "One of the growing needs for older adults and our agency's service delivery is the importance of increased and enhanced transportation. Multiple-pass transit punch cards also make a great gift and can be purchased when making transportation reservations."

The Hickman Senior Center, located in the new Hickman Community Center, 115 Locust St., is open Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hot noon meals are available to individuals age 60 and over for a suggested contribution of $4. The center also provides exercise programs, events, recreational activities, informational presentations and a place to meet with friends.
