Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, April 29, eastbound traffic on the Rosa Parks Way bridge, between South 3rd and South Folsom streets, will be detoured to one lane on the westbound side of the bridge. Both eastbound lanes will be closed through June for bridge repairs. Traffic information will be posted on message boards. The speed limit will be 35 mph during the project.
This project includes pavement repairs and bridge improvements at the ends of both bridges. The repairs are necessary due to soil erosion and will improve drainage to create a safer, smoother and longer lasting surface. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities appreciates the public's patience and reminds drivers to exercise caution in and around construction zones.
