Lincoln City Libraries has changed the start time for its storytimes for children with special needs. The free programs on the third Thursday of each month will now begin at 6:30 p.m. and will continue to end at 7 p.m. The sessions at the Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 S. 14th Street, provide a more controlled environment, and are best suited for children 2 to 8 years of age. The next three events are May 16, June 20 and July 18. Preregistration is not required.
In addition to books, singing and flannel boards, these sessions will incorporate sensory activities beyond sight and sound. The program is conducted away from distractions and offers an adjoining room in case participants need a quiet space.
