Lincoln City Council Chair Jane Raybould today announced that the City Council will vote on the new at-large City Council representative June 10. The vote was originally scheduled for June 3, but Raybould said Council members agreed that another week is needed to review applications because of the large number of applicants.
Isabel Salas was unintentionally omitted from the applicant list released Monday, so 24 residents have officially applied to fill the at-large City Council seat vacated when former Council member Leirion Gaylor Baird was sworn in as Mayor.

After reviewing the applications, Council members will select qualified finalists, who may be interviewed individually. If none of the nominated finalists receives four yes votes on June 10, the vote will be rescheduled for a future date.
