Library Offers Book Group for Autistic Young Adults

Lincoln City Libraries invites autistic young adults to a new book group this summer. The "Books Between Friends" club meets from 5 to 6 p.m. Fridays from June 7 through July 26 at the Walt Branch Library, 6701 S. 14th Street. Registration is required by calling 402-202-7493.

Amy Jewell, a special education teacher with 20 years of experience, will lead the group designed for individuals ages 18 through 25 on the autism spectrum. Participants will be encouraged to meet new people, socialize and share reading interests. Readers of all skill levels are welcome.

Books Between Friends is supported by the Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries and an Allstate grant. For more information about the library and its summer activities, visit lincolnlibraries.org.
