Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 8, Northwest 48th Street between West Craw Street and West Fletcher Avenue will be closed for pavement repair through August 2. Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work. Motorists will be detoured onto West Mathis Street, Northwest 38th Street and Airport Road to Highway 34. Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.
This project is part of the arterial streets rehabilitation program to improve and extend the life of the street by milling the existing surface and overlaying with new asphalt.
Drivers are reminded to exercise caution around work zones. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities appreciates the public's patience during this repair.
