The public is invited to an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening on the development of the Haymarket South District - the area bounded by Sixth, Ninth, "O" and "J" streets. The event is on the fourth floor of the Canopy Row building, located between Canopy and 8th streets, just northeast of the Canopy Street Market at 140 Canopy Street. Parking is available in the Lumberworks garage, and directional signs will be posted.
Representatives for Lincoln and Clark Enersen Partners will lead a discussion about street, sidewalk and parking improvements throughout the district. The goals of the project are to improve pedestrian and bicycle connections, maximize on- and off-street parking, create a cohesive district, and coordinate with private development and utility improvements in the area.
