Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, June 15, North 70th Street between Havelock and Colfax avenues will have alternating lane closures for curb repairs. This work is scheduled to be completed by June 29. Two-way traffic will be maintained during the project, and sidewalks will be closed on side of the street that work is being done.
This work is part of a Lincoln On The Move arterial street improvement project in this area. The entire project includes repair and replacement of curbs with ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, resurfacing, pavement markings, sidewalk repairs, and the installation of a flashing beacon at the Murdoch Trail crossing.
Digital message signs will alert traffic to lane closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained. Drivers are reminded to exercise caution around work zones. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) appreciates the public's patience during this work.
