84th Street Lane Closures Begin October 5

Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, October 5, lanes on 84th Street between Holdrege Street and Pinedale Avenue will close for Lincoln Electric System (LES) to move overhead power lines underground. Portions of the sidewalks along 84th Street and the 84th Street Trail will close periodically during this work. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained. This project is scheduled to be completed in March 2021.

This work is part of the LES Overhead to Underground Program. System reliability and appearance will be enhanced along this corridor as a result of this project. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and exercise caution around crews.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) and LES appreciates the public's patience during this project work. LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

For more information on the LES Overhead to Underground Project, visit LES.com/84 or call customer service at 402-475-4211. For more information on the street closure, contact Shane Dostal, LTU, at 402-525-7852 or sdostal@lincoln.ne.gov.
