Low Income* - Low income is held for a single pool location and identified by a case worker.

Passes and Coupons: Three levels are available: 1. Neighborhood, 2. Aquatic Centers, and 3. Star City Shores. Level 2 and 3 allow access to lower levels at no additional fees. However, additional fees are required per visit when using a lower level to visit a higher level pool. When neighborhood season passes are used at Highlands, University Place Pools (+ $.25) and Star City Shores (+$.50). Highlands and University Place pass holders need to pay an additional $.25 per visit at Star City Shores.

Season Passes - No discounts for season passes. Purchase at the Aquatics office, pool or online. Family pass includes up to two adults and four youth (ages 3-17) in the same family/household. Add $25 for each additional youth over first four youth.

Coupon Books - Coupon books may be purchased at the Aquatics office or pool locations. Youth (3-17yrs) books include 30 single use coupons and adult (18+ yrs) books include 10 single use coupons.

Summer Programming

Register for leagues, lessons, classes or trainings online!

We have a lot of fun events planned for this season: Pool rentals, family swim nights, water fitness and water exploration classes to name a few! Visit the Pool Programs page or download the full Program Guide for contact information, hours and fees for all department areas.

We offer Swim Lessons for youth, adults and individuals with special needs. We use the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. For general information visit the Swim Lessons page, or for schedules and to register click on the "Register Online" button located at the top of the sidebar.

Recently, our department has expanded many free summer wellness programs including Canoeing at Holmes Lake, as well as Play in the Pool and Water Fitness at various pool locations. To view the entire schedule of free wellness programming, visit the PLAY in the Parks page.


Pool Rules

  • Kids under 7 must be accompanied by a person 16 or older
  • If a diaper is worn, it must be a swim diaper.
  • Street clothes and cutoffs are not allowed.
  • Floating apparatus allowed in baby pool only.
  • Inner tubes, air mattresses and water wings are not allowed.
  • Water toys are generally not allowed.
  • US Coast Guard or Red Cross life jacket is allowed.
  • No smoking in any pool area.
  • Air temperature must reach 70 degrees by 3p or pool may close. Once closed, it will not reopen.
  • Hours may be altered during inclement weather.
  • Additional rules are posted at the entrance of the pool.
