Lincoln Teacher Arrested for 1st Degree Sexual Assault
On March 16, 2015, Lincoln Police Department received information concerning a relationship between a 22-year-old teacher and a 14-year-old female student. The allegations included private messaging, sexual contact and furnishing the minor with alcohol. Investigators reviewed messages sent between the two and found texts that were indecent, lewd and sexual in nature. On March 17, 2015, Jackson Hedrick, a social studies teacher at Irving Middle School, was arrested for Enticement by Electronic Communication Device, a class IV felony. He was lodged at the Lancaster County Jail.
Through further investigation, officers confirmed sexual contact occurred between Jackson Hedrick and the juvenile at a Lincoln residence. On March 18, 2015, Jackson Hedrick was issued an additional citation for 1st degree Sexual Assault, a class II felony.
