10th & Salt Creek Bridge

Bridge Replacement Project

A structural evaluation determined that the bridge would need to be replaced in order to meet the City of Lincoln's current and future vehicular and pedestrian needs. This project includes removing the bridge and constructing a new bridge at the same location.

  • Start: May 8, 2017
  • Completion: Mid-2018


27th from Holdrege to Fletcher

Concrete Pavement Repair Project

Work will resume at the intersection of North 27th and Superior streets to complete the final portion of this pavement repair project, which began in 2017.

  • Completion: Jun. 27, 2018


NW 48th from W Adams to North of W Craw

Pavement Repair Project

Work will include repaving a portion of the northbound lane from the northeast corner of NW 48th & W Adams to approximately 500’ north of W Craw Street. The repairs will help ensure a safe, smooth street surface for 10 to 15 years and prevent potholes and other types of deterioration.

  • Completion: Late-Jun. 2018


56th from Vine to Adams

Street Rehabilitation Project

The project’s street improvements will include mill and overlay of the existing asphalt, pavement repairs, joint sealing and new pavement markings. Pedestrian curb ramps will be reconstructed to meet federal and local standards.

  • Start: May 21, 2018
  • Completion: Early Aug. 2018


66th and Fremont

Intersection Improvement Project

The project is designed to increase safety at the intersection by adding a roundabout, ADA-accessible sidewalks and street lights.

  • Estimated Start: June 4, 2018
  • Completion: September 2018


Arbor Road and N 56th Street

Water Main Project

This project will include the installation of a new water main, which is necessary to reduce water main breaks and provide customers with better water service in the area.

  • Completion: Late-October 2018


Ashley Heights Pavement Repair

Concrete Pavement Repair & Sidewalk Ramp Reconstruction

The project’s street improvements include pavement repairs and crack sealing. Pedestrian curb ramps will be reconstructed to meet federal and local standards.

  • Completion: Late-September 2018


Coddington and West Van Dorn

Safety Improvement Project

The purpose of this project is to reduce vehicle crashes by significantly reducing the number of conflict points at the intersection. A single-lane roundabout will be constructed within the intersection. The project includes the phased construction of new concrete pavement, trails, sidewalks and box culvert extensions; the installation of a new storm drainage system; and new signage, pavement markings and street lighting.

Everett from 50th to 52nd 52nd from Everett to Washington

Water Main Replacement Project

This project will be replacing a water main along Everett Street from 50th to 52nd, and along 52nd Street from Everett to Washington St.

  • Estimated Start: May 29, 2018
  • Completion: Late-October 2018


Haymarket Street and Streetscape Improvements

Mill and Overlay / Pedestrian Improvements

The project’s street improvements will include the mill and overlay of existing asphalt and restriping of lanes and parking stalls. The project will also include improvements to pedestrian nodes from 7th to 9th and “N” to “S” Streets in the Historic Haymarket. Pedestrian curb ramps will be reconstructed to meet Federal and local standards.

Pine Lake from 61st to Highway 2

Widening and Safety Improvement Project

Pine Lake Road is being widened to four lanes from S 61st Street to Highway 2. This project is necessary to increase the capacity of this roadway as a part of the increasing development in southeast Lincoln.

  • Start: Mar. 5, 2018
  • Completion: 2019


Saunders Avenue Pavement District

Saunders Avenue from 12th to 14th Street

The Saunders Avenue Pavement District, comprised of property owners on Saunders Avenue, has requested that the City of Lincoln manage its street improvement project. Under the project, Saunders Avenue, from N. 12th to N. 14th Streets, will become a new, 35-foot-wide concrete street that meets City safety and quality standards.

  • Start: May 16, 2018
  • Completion: Fall 2018
