NW 48th Street Pavement Repair Project Northbound Lanes from W Adams to North of W Craw
The City of Lincoln proposes to begin pavement repair in the northbound lanes of NW 48th Street between West Adams Street and just north of West Craw Street April 2, 2018, weather permitting. This project is necessary to repair premature cracking.
The work replaces and repairs damaged surface that has not met warranty assurances. Work will include repaving a portion of the northbound lane from the northeast corner of NW 48th & W Adams to approximately 500’ north of W Craw Street. The contractor will also be completing spot repairs throughout the project as part of their paving warranty. The repairs will help ensure a safe, smooth street surface for 10 to 15 years and prevent potholes and other types of deterioration.
Construction is scheduled to begin April 2, 2018, weather permitting. The work is expected to take about 13 weeks and should be completed by late-June.
Access During Construction
Two-way traffic will be maintained along NW 48th Street with the addition of a temporary street surface, which will be added on the west side of NW 48th Street. North and southbound traffic will be shifted west around construction, traveling head to head until late June. Traffic will also temporarily be affected in isolated areas between West Vine and Adams streets throughout the project.
